This blog!

This will be my blog throughout my semester abroad in Dharamsala, India.
For those of you who like myself didn't know where this place is, it's a small city in the upper Northern region of India. It's got a population of less than 20,000, but it's home to the Tibetan community and government in exile. Because the home of the Dalai Lama is located there it is somewhat of both a tourist and religious attraction.

It's an elevation of 7000 ft, so it's pretty high up.

I won't have frequent internet access but I will get it enough that I hope to post thoughts and pictures (especially pictures) of the events I attend, the people I meet, and the general experience that I have in Dharamsala and other parts of India. Let's say...once a week?

My journey begins January 17th, when I will fly to Paris and then to New Delhi for the beginning of my semester in India. A lovely 22 hours of travelling!

Until then I'm packing, packing, packing...and enjoying the break of course.
